My teaching career spans more than two decades and is characterized by sustained contributions to English language pedagogy, teacher education, and academic leadership. At the University of Duhok, I have taught a wide range of courses across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervised research projects, and contributed to departmental quality assurance, curriculum development, and higher studies committees. My work has consistently focused on strengthening pedagogical practices and enhancing EFL/ESL instruction.

I have also delivered professional development programs in teaching methodologies, speaking-skills training, and standardized English testing (TOEFL and IELTS). My appointment at the Center of Training enabled me to teach students from diverse academic disciplines, while my parallel role at the University of Mosul expanded my engagement with general English education.

Internationally, my visiting appointments at the University of Deusto (Spain) and the University of Warsaw (Poland) provided opportunities to engage in applied linguistics research and teacher training. In addition to my teaching duties, I have held several leadership positions, including Head of the English Department and Director of Scientific Issues and Higher Studies, which have reinforced my commitment to academic development and institutional advancement.

Research

My personal interests in researches focusing on various topics namely, action research, case study in terms of Applied Linguistics, TESOL and Methods of Teaching as well Teacher Training for the sake of solving reflectively problems and difficulties that face teachers and learners at different levels as well as emphasizing on debate and skills of beginners and higher levels theoretically and practically.

Many BA researches in English Language as supervisor in various topics in terms of literature, linguistics, methods of teaching and applied linguistics in terms of BA degree. Moreover, two MA students have been under my supervision and they discussed their these during Past October 26 and 29.
