Since 2008, I have served as a university teacher in the Department of English at the University of Duhok, contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate education. With a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL, my teaching practice is grounded in contemporary pedagogical theory and a strong commitment to language education. Over the years, I have designed and delivered a range of core courses, including Methods of Teaching, Phonetics and Phonology, Educational Technology, Textbook Analysis, and Syntax.
Through these courses, I aim to equip learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for effective language teaching and linguistic analysis. My work emphasizes student-centered instruction, critical thinking, and the integration of modern educational tools. This sustained engagement in diverse subject areas has strengthened my expertise and contributed to the academic development of many cohorts of students. My long-standing service reflects a dedication to professional excellence and continuous improvement within the field of English language education.
My academic activities have played an important role in developing my skills as an educator and researcher. Through writing workshops, I improved my academic writing and communication. Delivering seminars strengthened my presentation skills and deepened my understanding of the subjects I teach. Attending conferences allowed me to connect with scholars, learn about new research, and expand my academic perspectives. Together, these activities reflect my commitment to continuous professional growth and active participation in the academic community.
